Obituary of Sandra Ladd

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Pruett Ladd, 69, passed April 13, 2017 in Springfield Missouri. Sandy was born on July 20, 1947 to Clarence (Red) and Alta Irene Pruett. She attended highschool in Bethalto, Illinois. Afterwards she followed her passion by attending cosmetology school in Alton, Illinois and graduating. She pursued her career as a hairdresser, always making others around her feel beautiful. Soon after, Sandy met the love of her life, Sam Ladd and got married on July 20, 1967 in Alton, Illinois. It wasn't long before they began to grow their family and had a daughter, Shannon Nicole Ladd Crutcher and soon after a son, Shane Colburn Ladd. In 1973 the family packed up and moved to Lamar, Missouri where they had their third child, Shawn O'Brien Ladd. Besides building a home for her family and treasuring her grandchildren, Sandy enjoyed golfing, crafting, sewing and making the best swedish pancakes around. Sandy was a members of the Arcola Christian Church and she enjoyed reading her bible nightly. Sandy is survived by two sisters, Ione Tedrick and Marlene Fleming and preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers, along with her son, Shawn O'Brien Ladd. Left to honor her memory and cherish her love are several nieces and nephews along with 6 grandchildren; Sydney Ladd Cunningham and husband Drew, Oletha Hope Crutcher, Savannah Reese Ladd, Evangelena Noel Ladd, Patrick O'Brien Ladd and Kennedy Ruth Ladd. Along with two great grand children, Zoey Reign Cunningham and Braxton Reed Royster.
