Barbara J. Cox of Everton, MO passed away on Sunday August 14, 2022. She was born on April 28, 1932, in Syracuse, KS to Margaret “Lucille” (Bauer) and Lloyd Post. Barbara attended school through the 11th grade but then studied hard and completed her GED. Together with her husband Tommy, she ran a trucking business for 25 years. She also worked for Trailiner for 18 years and sold Ava Care Cosmetics. Barbara made many quilts and afghans. She belonged to the Futorum Club in Johnson, KS and loved to square dance. She stayed busy even in her later years, learning to play the organ, volunteering at Mercy Springfield Hospital, and meeting with the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her children Doyle Cox of Bartlesville, OK, Randy (Patty) Cox of Dallas, TX, Kevin (Gabi) Cox of Fayetteville, TN, Judy (Rod) Minor of Minneola, KS, and Jim Cox of Everton, MO. She is also survived by sisters Mary (Rick) Machicao of Warsaw, MO and Glenda (Jerry) Doris of Burlington, CO.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy; parents Lloyd and Lucille Post; brothers Dennis Post, Donnie Post, and Ronnie Post; and sister Beverly Tabor.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in care of Konantz Warden Funeral Home to St Patrick Mission Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Saturday August 20, 2022, at St Patrick Mission Church in Greenfield, MO. Interment will follow at St James Cemetery.
