Cathy Louise Williams

Cathy Louise Williams passed away on Saturday October 22, 2022. She was born on December 23, 1952 in Pittsburg, KS to Reba (Baker) and Merle Rouse. She grew up in Liberal, MO where she graduated from Liberal High School in 1970 before going on to receive her Associate Degree in Nursing in Fort Scott, KS. She married John Williams on March 24, 1975 in Miami, OK. Cathy was part of the team at Barton County Health Department for more than 30 years before retiring in 2014. She was a long-time member of Main Street Bible Church. A few years after retiring, she and John moved to Van Buren, AR to care for their two youngest grandchildren and became a member of Family Worship Center. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, preparing meals for others, and looked forward to holiday baking and candy making. She loved being Nana to her grandkids, Gavin, Grady, Ott, and Deacon and prayed over them and many others daily. She was an avid prayer warrior with an unwavering faith in Christ up until the moment she went to be with Him.

She is survived by her husband John Williams; children Gregory (Sara Davis) Williams of Springfield, MO and Kristin (James) Lea of Van Buren, AR; mother Reba Rouse of Liberal, MO; siblings Elaine (Leroy) Castagno of Pittsburg, KS, and Nancy (Mark) Huser of Golden City, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gavin and Grady Williams and Ott and Deacon Lea; sister-in-law Glenda Rouse; and by many other family members.

She is preceded in death by her father Merle Rouse, brother Rick Rouse, and infant daughter Kaleigh Renee Williams.

The family will receive visitors on Friday November 4, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM and a memorial service will be held on Saturday November 5, 2022 at 2 PM at Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
