Cortez Waters

Cortez Enloe Waters Jr., 83, passed away September 19, 2013, in Marshall, MO. Jr. was born Christmas Eve, 1929 in Jefferson City, MO, to Cortez Sr. and Frances (Cummings) Waters. Jr. was a self-made man. He served his country in the Army, and then came home and worked hard. Jr. had a mechanical gift. He loved working on cars and became very good at it. His brother drove the race cars Jr. built. They were a good "team". In 1954, Jr. married Elizabeth Kincade, in Miami, OK. He was a member of the Racing Fraternity. Preceding Jr. in death are his wife, Elizabeth; daughter Nina Costello; brother, Lee Roy "Doc" Walters; and his parents. Survivors include sons; Cortez "Corkey" Waters III, and wife, Barbara, Osage Beach, MO, John Waters, and wife, CJ, Marshall, MO, Arthur Shinabarger, and wife, Cindra, Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren, JL Waters, Marshall, MO, AJ, Rachael, Jameson and Rebecca Waters, Lee's Summit, MO, Kim, Nicholas and Michael Costello; and a host of friends. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
