Georgia Lee Workman, 88, Liberal, passed away with her family by her side, July 10, 2012 in Lamar. She was born June 8, 1924, in Lowery City, MO, to John Everett and Carrie Butler Robertson. She graduated from Liberal High School, class of 1941. Georgia Lee married Donald Warren Workman on November 23, 1942, in Riverside, CA. They owned and operated Workman Paneling for 20 years at their farm in Liberal, MO. She was a home maker with many gifts and talents. She was an accomplished seamstress, making patterns and sewing clothes for her family, including cheerleading costumes, uniforms, and barber smocks. She especially enjoyed quilting, making sure that all of her children and grandchildren had a piece of her work. Georgia was a member of the Liberal Methodist Quilters. She won many awards at the Liberal Fair for her beautiful quilt entries. Georgia was also an accomplished woodworker, making rocking horses and letter trains. She enjoyed working in her garden, canning, pickling and cooking. Georgia Lee is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, John Robertson; two sisters, Mary Barnes and Sara Cook. She is survived by two sons, Bill Workman and Gary Workman of Liberal, MO; daughter Donna Workman of Carl Junction, MO; one sister, Edith Innis of Union City CA.; six grandchildren, Tim Workman, Mark Workman, Melissa Williams, Eric Workman, Jennifer Workman, Brett Workman; seven great grandchildren, Blake Williams, Adam Williams, Bradley Workman, Jerry Workman, Zachery Workman, Hayden Workman and Jayce Workman.
