John M Troyer

John M. Troyer, 95, of Lamar, MO, passed away at his residence, at 6:45 AM on April 1, 2024. He was born in Centerville, MI on April 4, 1928, to Moses and Lydia (Wickey) Troyer. On April 4, 1954, he was married to Verona (Graber) Troyer, who preceded him in death.


He is survived by four sons: David (Sylvia) Troyer of Somerset, OH, John (Mintie) Troyer of Frankfort, OH, Alvin Troyer of Ramona, CA and Chris (Elsie) Troyer of Lott, TX, four daughters: Barbara (John) Miller of Grandview, TX, Mabel (Jerry) Miller of Rosebud, TX, Edna (Jonathan) Miller of Knob Noster, MO, and Suzanne (Melvin) Yoder of Lamar, MO. He is also survived by brother-in-law Leroy Graber of Elkhart, IN, sister-in-law Susan (Sam) Horst of Clarkrange, TN, 41 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.


Calling hours will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Wednesday April 3, 2024 and a funeral service will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Golden City Mennonite Church.
