Lloyd Winter

Lloyd Edward Winter, 80 of Carthage, MO passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Truman Healthcare in Lamar. He was born September 28, 1937 in Jasper, MO to William and Neva (Gardner) Winter. He graduated from Jasper High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pittsburg State University. Lloyd was a staff Sgt in the Army Air Force Reserve, serving from 1962 to 1968. He moved back to the Jasper area after his retirement in 2000. He worked in personnel safety for the Georgia Pacific Company in Quanah, TX. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Lamar. He is survived by his wife Helen, sons; Lon (Kim) Winter, OK and Len (Emily) Winter, TX, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, also surviving Elizabeth his first wife and mother of his sons.
