Mary Jane Lehman

Mary Jane Lehman, beloved aunt, left us on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She will be greatly missed. She was born on June 9, 1930, to Henry and Dena (Muehling) Lehman. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lucile Lehman; brothers Samuel (JoAnn) Lehman and Robert (Janice) Lehman.

After high school Mary Jane attended Stephens College. She returned to Lamar and was an essential part in loving and caring for her parents.

She enjoyed spending time outside in her yard and garden. She loved flowers – double jonquils were her favorite. She could often be found sitting on her back porch simply enjoying nature.

Mary Jane was vividly aware of what was happening in the world around her, tuning into the news daily. She wanted to know your opinion and certainly shared her opinions with you.

She had an incredible memory – always remembered dates. Her handwriting was meticulous.

She was a joy to be around and always inquired about family members.

She is survived by nephews Craig (Darlene) Lehman and Robert Lee (Kristi) Lehman; nieces Cynthia (Keith) Duncan, Kristina (Randy) Crockett, Katherine (Scott) Myers and Rachel (Daryl) Boucher and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She will be honored with a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Oak Grove cemetery.
