Maurice Jones, 78, Iantha, MO, passed away September 10, 2012, at Barton County Memorial Hospital, Lamar, MO. Maurice was born October 8, 1933, to Harry and Beulah (Miller) Jones. He graduated from Lamar High School. Maurice served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended college and worked as a police officer in Springfield, MO, and custodial work for the Webb City School District. Maurice married Wanda M. Jones in 1954. They made their home in Iantha. His church and missionary work were very important to him. He pastored several churches and served as Sunday School superintendent and substitute teacher for Harvest Time Free Holiness Church, Girard, KS. After Wanda's passing, he married Anna Belle (Bone) Vestle in 2003. Preceding Maurice in death are his parents. He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle, of the home; two sons, Mark T. Jones, and wife, Terri, Neosho, MO; Matthew Jones and wife, Sara, Lorain, OH; three daughters, Teresa Dayton and husband, Floyd, Neosho, MO; Rachel Jones Salsman and husband, Michael, Blanchard, OK; Ruthanna "Ruthie" Monroe and husband, Randy, Weir, KS; step sons Allen Vestle and wife, Peggy, Gillette, WY; Robert Vestle and wife, Ellen, Lexington, OK; step-daughters Roberta Brown and husband, Donnie, Corpus Christi, TX; Phyllis Vestle, Purcell, OK; Evelyn Davis, Corpus Christi, TX; brother James "Jim" Jones and wife, Nadine, Arma, KS; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
