Max E. Rose, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at St. Luke's Heart Institute, Kansas City, MO after a courageous battle with numerous health issues. Max was born February 14, 1938 in Lamar, MO to Estelle and Wenona (James) Rose. He attended the West Union Rural School and graduated from Liberal High School in 1956. After one term at college in Warrensburg, he returned home to do what he loved most, farm. He married Kay Hedges on October 19, 1958 at the Liberal Methodist Church. Outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, and all sports was something he enjoyed. He especially loved watching his grandkids participate in their activities. Max was a member of the Oakton United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents, his older brother, Charles Rose, and daughter, Elissa Schumacher. He is survived by his wife, Kay; sons, Linden Rose and wife, Wendy, Kerry Rose and wife, Tammy, daughter Tammy Trout, all of Liberal, and son, Tim Rose of Jasper. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Kristina Moore and husband, Sam, Karmen, Garett, Trevor, Bryant, Lauren, Megan, Parker and Austin Rose, Cody, Keaton, and Kade Trout.
