Monte Brannon passed away on June 16, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Monte was born on December 17, 1949 in Cortez, Colorado to Calvin and Elaine Pickens Brannon. Monte graduated from Lamar High School class of 1968. While still in High School he sang bass with the Ambassadors Quartet. In 1977 he graduated from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Monte was one of the first Paramedics in the state of Missouri, he was the Director of the Ambulance services in Nevada, MO. Monte went on to join the police force and he spent 22 years on the Police Department in Enid, Oklahoma and spent around 9 years as the Chief of Police in Southwest City, Missouri and was a member of the F.O.P. Monte was a member of Oakton United Methodist Church where he was a sound technician and gave his support to the praise team. Monte married Cindy Johnston in February 2000 in Oklahoma City, she survives. Also surviving Monte are his daughter Kylie Bourland and husband Paul of Arizona, Sisters, Linda Coon of Joplin, Mo and Connie Pagacz of Lamar, Mo and his mother Elaine Pickens Brannon of Lamar, Stepson Chad Medlin and wife Lisa, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Proceeding Monte in death were his father, Calvin Brannon and his infant brother, Danny Lee who passed away in 1952
