Ruby M. Pyatt, age 90, passed into eternal life Tuesday morning, September 1, at The Truman Health Care facility. She was born September 22, 1924, near Metz, MO, to Oren "O.E." and Hazel (Witt) Spratt. An only child, she grew up on the farm. She graduated from Lamar High School with the class of 1942. She Later married Johnny "J. W." Pyatt on St Valentines Day, Feb 14, 1944, right before J. W. went off to war. Ruby later went back to school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for the Lamar clinic and then for Barton County Memorial Hospital until retirement in September of 1987. After retirement she volunteered as a pink lady at the hospital and was a member of the Pioneers club, a service organization made up of retired hospital personnel. She also was a life long member of The Daughters of Rebekah Lodge. She was a faithful member of the Oakton Methodist Church and for many years and hosted a Bible study and prayer meeting in her home. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Her husband J.W. in 1996, her daughter Rosezeltha "Rose" McKenzie, a grand daughter Rebecca Marie Holt and two great grandsons, Stetson Cato and Daniel Schwan Jr. She is survived by her son Charles E. "Edd" Pyatt and wife Pamela, of Dixon MO, 4 grandchildren, James Douglas Pyatt, Julie Ann Henson, Melissa Kay Schwan and John Daniel McKenzie, 6 great grandchildren; Gregory Edward Aleshire, Megan Pyatt, Johnna Marie Cato-Schwan, Robert Bernard Schwan II, Allison Rene` Schwan and Kinsey Mae Schwan; and 2 great great grandchildren; Mason Edward Aleshire and Audriana Brooklyn Aleshire.
