Teresa Louise Timmons

Teresa Louise Timmons, 67, of Iantha, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born in Jasper, Missouri, to the late Walter and Iris (Howard) Sweet, Terrie was known for her kind heart, dedication to her family, and deep love for animals.

In 1967, Terrie and her family relocated to Iantha, Missouri, where she graduated from Liberal High School in 1975. Over the years, she lived in several towns within Jasper and Barton counties, touching the lives of many with her warm spirit and hard work. Terrie held various jobs throughout her life, including at Maplewood Nursing Home in Jasper, Orscheln Farm and Home, Denny’s, and Oxford Home Health. She also devoted much of her time to babysitting and caring for children, a role she cherished.

Terrie’s life was enriched by the love of her family and her beloved pets. She is survived by her sisters, Oneta Sweet of Iantha, Missouri, Darlene Livingston of Jasper, Missouri, and Norma (Floyed) Eaves of Iantha, Missouri. She also leaves behind her nephews, Steven (Priscilla) Sweet of Lamar, Missouri, Charlie (Autumn) Sweet of Granby, Missouri, and Kent Sweet of Iantha, Missouri; her nieces, Willa Doubledee of Iantha, Missouri, and Holly (Andrew) Chism of Joplin, Missouri; and her great-nephews, Matthew, Jacob, Taylor, Connor, and Keaton Sweet.

Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Janice Sweet and Aaron Sweet, and her three husbands, Lawrence Brosam, David Miller, and Stan Timmons.

Terrie’s family and friends will remember her as a loving sister, aunt, and friend who brought joy to those around her. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed.
