Wanna Fox

In Memory of

Wanna "Faye" Fox

February 19, 1952 - August 13, 2017

Wanna "Faye" Fox, age 65, passed away at her home near Golden City and went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday Morning. Faye and her twin sister Kay were born on February 19, 1952 to Johnnie R. and Charlene (Lester) Casey, at their home in Gray's Point, Missouri. Faye graduated from Miller High school. She also earned an associate degree in business at Vatterott College and later became a certified CNA. Most of her life she worked in healthcare. She worked at the Lockwood Hospital, Greenfield Nursing Home, Cox South Hospital in Springfield, the McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage and the Barton County Memorial Hospital in the ER. For many years she managed the Runway Cafe in Mt. Vernon. In recent years she was the office manager at the Konantz Warden Funeral Home until she retired. Faye was always more than an employee; she was a caring professional. Every one of her clients and patients felt her compassion and trusted her care. In recent months Faye was on the receiving end of healthcare but she remained a source of joy and encouragement to those who provided medical care for her. To say that Faye loved her family would understate the devotion and love that they felt from her. Her brothers and sisters were her best friends. Her children and grand children were royalty. Nothing was more precious than the time that she spent with them. Her hobby was having fun with them. She believed that God liked to hear about them from her and when she prayed for them she felt His pleasure. God was pleased because He inspired the love that she had for them. Faye is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ralph Schmidt, Her sons Joseph Paul Jones Jr. and wife Shelly, and Sidney Charles Jones and wife Brandy both of Mt. Vernon, Stoney Davis and wife Tracey, Jonathan Schmidt and Chris Schmidt; 15 grandchildren; Brittany Carter and husband Alex, Paul Jones and wife Shyann, Samuel Jones, Casey Jones, Dayton Jones, Ethan Jones, Tristan Jones, Danielle Wells, Kaitlyn Howell and Hunter Howell; 3 great grandchildren, Lydia, Sylvia and Abigail. Also surviving are 3 sisters Kay Gastel and husband Skeeter, Jane Obert and husband Paul, Joyce Williams and husband Bruce; 3 brothers; Johnnie Ross Casey Jr, Charles Casey and wife Elaine, John Wayne Casey and wife Crystal, and many nieces and nephews.
