Harold Edward Malone, Sr. Harold Edward Malone Sr, 80, passed away at 5:15 pm, April 9, 2013, at his home in Liberal, MO with his family around him. He was born in Liberty, KS, January 27, 1933 to James Wesley Malone and Lelia May (Manley) Malone. Harold worked 26 years as a maintenance man for the Missouri State Highway Department. He married Birdie J. Briles on August 14, 1953. Harold loved working on mechanical things, fishing, and laughing and singing to the grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; three sisters and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Birdie, of the home; three sons Harold E. Malone, Jr. and wife, Charlotte, of Liberal, MO, Timothy J. Malone and wife, Loretta, of Heplar, KS, and Thomas G. Malone and wife, Rebecca, of Artesia, NM; seventeen grandchildren; forty five great grandchildren; two sisters, Oneta Anderson of Neodesha, KS, Dorothy Johnson of Independence, KS; one brother, Lesley Malone and wife, Betty, of Independence, KS, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends.
