Hubert R "Barney" Burnett age 86 passed from this life Saturday May 24 at Truman Healthcare with his sisters at his side. Hubert was born January 6, 1928, to William Roy and Katherine Leola (Blevins) Burnett in Lockwood, MO. He was a veteran of the the WWII , Korean War era. He was a glass worker owning his own business, Barney's Glass service, in Parsons, KS. He married Wilma Burnett March 29, 1971, in Parsons. She proceeded him in death on her 76th birthday October 6, 2001. They were members of the Grace Baptist Church in Golden City. Survivors include 2 sons Roy Burnett of Sylmar, CA, and Hubert Ralph Burnett II of California, a daughter Kathy DePee of Texas, and 3 sisters Velma Hoefgen of Springfield, Dixie McClain of Springfield and Sharon Ramey of Joplin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 3 brothers; Bill, Clarence and Charles Burnett.
