Obituary of Hanna Schuette

Hanna Schuette of Lamar, Missouri passed away at Barton County Hospital at the age of 86 years old. Hanna was born on June 16, 1928 in Geru, Germany. When Hanna was 2 years old her mother passed away and Hanna was sent to live in an orphanage while her father fought during war time. Hanna met her husband, Don, actually in the war while Hanna escaped the Russian zone and bumped into him. Don continued to check on Hanna and promised when the war was over that he would send for her. Don returned to the United States and did exactly as he promised and Hanna came to the United States in 1946. Hanna and Don married on May 1, 1947 and they made their home in Dade County, Missouri where they farmed cattle for over 50 years. Hanna was a care taker of her family and community. When anyone was in need Hanna was there helping them out. Hanna also worked for a few years at Barton County Hospital as an aide. Her survivors include one daughter, Dona Stebbins, three grandchildren, Ron Mace of Kansas City, MO, Paul Stebbins of Liberal, MO and Erin Bazzle of Lamar, 9 great grandchildren, Caitlin, Tessa, Connor, Jackson, Sam, Tyler, Molly, Libby, and Tanner.
