Obituary of Larry Snodgrass

Larry W. Snodgrass, 66, Golden City, MO, passed away suddenly, May 16, 2013. Larry was born September 1, 1946, to Vernon Clare and Viola Florence Lamke Snodgrass, Liberal, MO. He graduated from Liberal High School. Larry continued his education and graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. He taught music and psychology for the Golden City School District for more than twenty years. He then went to work for Golden City, as City Clerk for the next twenty plus years. Larry loved music, and could play any instrument. He was the organist for the Golden City Presbyterian Church for twenty five years. In his younger years, he sang with the Gospel Edition Quartet. He enjoyed flower gardening and singing karaoke. Larry had wonderful penmanship and was called upon many times to do the calligraphy for many certificates. He was very passionate about his mustang "muscle cars". Larry was a member of Golden City United Methodist Church. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Selma June Champlin. He is survived by his son, Eric Snodgrass of Carl Junction, MO; daughter, Nikki Probert of Belton, MO; four beautiful granddaughters whom he cherished and enjoyed and companion Christy Silvers.
