Marie "Jeanette" Hites, age 78, passed away at the Truman Healthcare facility in Lamar. She was born March 1, 1937 in Lamar to Paul and Aldena (Ambler) Moore, She married Leo Hites at the Christian Church in Jasper, MO, Oct 20, 1956. She always had a job either working for someone or creating a business of her own. She has been a waitress, a bookkeeper and a healthcare provider among other endeavors. Her relationship with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and her Church and her family were always at the center of her life. She is survived by 6 children, June and Joe Turnbach, Littleton, CO, Paula and John Wingert, Golden City, MO, Patti and Jimmy Rooker, Yukon, OK; James Hites, Oklahoma City, OK, Joyce and Keith Cochran, Mustang, OK, Rex Hites of the home; One sister, Sharon Nelson of Lamar; 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo Hites, one sisters, Janice Lehman, one grandson, Jeffrey Kirby and one great grandson, Peyton Foster. A memorial service will be held at the Lamar Family Ministry Church Tuesday at 10 AM. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to the Children's day care at Lamar Family Ministries Center.
