Elbert Lee Orahood, age 84, passed away at the Barton County Memorial Hospital Friday evening August 21st. Elbert was born July 3rd, 1931 in Boston, Mo. He married Lena Bernease Williams October 19, 1963 in Lamar in the home of "Preach" Haddock. She preceded him in death June 27, 1998. He worked for Lawnboy as a quality control inspector and then for O'Sullivan's until retirement. After retirement he had his own business repairing lawn mowers. He is survived by 2 step children, Dwayne Jones and Janice Orahood, both of Lamar. He has 7 grandchildren; John Orahood, Jennifer Sanden, Michael Jones, Kevin Orahood, Terrelyn Watts, Richard Jones and Mark Jones. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
