Sidera C. Gardner, age 83, passed away Wednesday October 7, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, MO. Sidera was born August 10, 1932 in Ridge Farm, Illinois to Glen and Ruby (Jeffers) Canady. She married James Boggess in 1948 and to that union was born 5 children. James was a paving contractor. The entire family participated at times in the construction work. The children learned to drive paving equipment before they learned to drive a car. Sid also worked for Green Stamps in the redemption department. James passed away in 1986. She married Darrell Ray Gardner December 1, 2001. They made their home in Golden City, Mo. Darrell passed away May 1, 2012. Sid was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge. She is survived by her 5 children; Gayle Chestnut of Dewey, AZ, Glenda Bigger of Palm Desert, CA, Robert Boggess, Jamey Bogess of Discovery Bay, CA and Mike Boggess of Palm Springs, CA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Cecil Wallace and a sister Cleo Westbay. She will be missed by all who knew her friendly smile enjoyable companionship.
