Meredythe  June Munson, age 79, of Golden City, passed away January 2, at her home.  Meredythe was born June 6, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa, to John Henry and Mardelle Elanor (Guyer) Hoffman .  She was a good cook. She was the owner and operator of the Cougar’s Café in Mable, MN.  She cooked for the Sigma Phi Sorority at Iowa State and for Toubaugh’s Countryside Restaurant  in Golden City. She is survived by her mother Mardelle Hoffman  of Golden City, two daughters ; Elaine Casey and husband Charles of Sarcoxie, Charlene Foreman and husband Christopher of Richmond, VA, and son Richard Munson and wife Erin of Golden City, 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Chris, Damitra, Darius, Kevin  and Jamie; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, John “Jack” Hoffman and Robert R. Hoffman, and one sister Karen K. Potter.

Tere will be a memorial meal provided by the First Christian Church in Golden City. The reception will follow the committal at the Cemetery.
