Obituary of Donald R Peterson

Donald Ray Peterson Jr., age 62, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday June 20th. Donald was born March 25, 1956 in Lamar to Donald and Bonnie Brauburger Peterson. He graduated from Lamar High School with the class of 1974. Donald's chosen career was nursing. He graduated from Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, Kansas with a nursing degree and worked at Heartland Behavioral Health Services,  a children’s behavioral health hospital located in Nevada, MO.  He had a special attachment to everyone he came in contact with. Donald especially enjoyed riding his Harley, never knew a stranger and was known for his infectious laugh.  His parents, an infant son Noah, his Uncle Jr. Dearing, and Aunt Betty preceded Donald in death. He is survived by his wife Leana Peterson, and her children Chelsea 15,  

Tyler 14, and Brandon 13. Four daughters; Charity Spaich, her husband Christopher and their children Gracin age 7 and Rory age 3; Dana Peterson; April Graham, her husband John and their children Amelia age 2 and Evie 2 weeks; Jubilee Peterson, two sons; Caleb Peterson, his wife Danielle and their daughter Ellie age 2; Michael Peterson and his wife Ashley  and his aunt Dorothy Dearing. There will be a memorial service at the Konantz Warden Funeral Home Saturday June 23rd at 3 PM. Pastor Jerrod Lamb will officiate.
