Obituary of Ida May Koziol

Ida May Koziol of Joplin, MO passed away Monday, July 16, at the age of 89. She was born March 11, 1929 in Newport, MO,  to James Franklin McCulley and Cora Opal (Hayward) McCulley. She went through the 8thgrade in Newport and then to Golden City to high school. Ida was a seamstress both professionally at Big Smith and Jock’s Nitch and at home where she made uncountable quilts, all stitched by hand. She is survived by one son Willie Wise and wife Junitta of Joplin, MO, one daughter Connie Kay Smith, two grand daughters; Dana Evans and husband Jason of Fredonia, MO, and Deana LeGrand of Lamar, MO, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two siblings; a brother, Earl and his wife Susie McCulley  of Lamar, Missouri and one sister, Mable Jones of Reeds, MissouriPreceding her in death were her parents, two brothers; Bud McCulley, and Bob McCulley and five sisters; Thelma Jane FreemanFlossie Tuck, Pearl McMackin, Barbara Soden, and Blanch Stevens.

There will be a visitation 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home, 1301 Gulf, Lamar, Mo and a second visitation Saturday, July 28, 2018, 9:00AM – 11:00AM, at Impact Life Church, 2231 Annie Baxter, Joplin, MO.
