Obituary of Lorena Frances Breedlove
Lorena Frances Breedlove, age 101, of Iantha, MO passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2019. Lorena was born to Goldie and Emmett McWhirter on August 30, 1918 in Sentinel, OK. She married Leland Breedlove December 4, 1935. She lived in Lebanon, MO for many years before moving to Iantha, MO. Lorena lived a long and fruitful life. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, and especially enjoyed quilting. Lorena attended the Iantha Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Gary) Phipps of Lamar, MO and Doris (Jim) Esser of Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren, Timothy (Anna) Phipps, Dena (Dave) Wilkerson, Dennis (Mayela) Esser, Douglas (Annissa) Esser, seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Esser, Matthew Esser, Joshua Esser, Cole Esser, Kade Esser, Lori (Miles) Batchelor, and Megan Wilkerson, three great-great-grandchildren, Foster Batchelor, Charlotte Batchelor, and Luna Wilkerson, one brother, Gene Felkner, Fair Grove, MO and she was “Aunt Rene” to many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lorena is preceded in death by her husband and parents as well as four brothers Odis McWhirter, Richard Felkner, Leroy Felkner, Fred Felkner and one sister, Juanita Dampier.
