Obituary of Marlene Dunford

Cora Marlene (McMackin) Dunford passed away on December 24, 2019. She was born on October 16, 1954 to Earl and Pearl McMackin in Kansas City, KS. Cora went to elementary school in Edgerton, MO and then graduated from Dearborn, MO in 1972. She had many different jobs, including housekeeping at Holiday Inn in Kansas City, MO and O’Sullivan Industry in Lamar, MO, but her favorite job was being a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, and a brother-in-law, Wayland. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Lauren Dunford of Lamar, MO, sister Carla Morgan of Lamar, MO, brother Tony (Cindy) McMackin of Edgerton, MO, two daughters, Christian Kesinger of Joplin, MO, and Shannon Nordaker of Lamar, MO, two sons Joshua Parcell of Lamar, MO and Joey Parcell of Lamar, MO. She is also survived by two step-daughters, Tami (Art)Edwards of Kansas and Jennifer Dickerson of College Station, TX, nieces Maria (Shaun) McDonald of Columbia,PA, Charla (James) Courtney of Hazel Park, MI, Falon (Eric) Wagner of Kansas City, MO, 18 wonderful grandchildren and 6 awesome great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday January 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Lamar First Christian Church.
