Obituary of Mary Lou White

Mary Lou (Voorhees) White, age 78, passed away on Tuesday February 1, 2022. She was born on May 26, 1943 in Lamar, MO to Roy and Marie (Hayward) Voorhees. She graduated from Lamar High School and went on to college. She worked a number of years in Iowa and Texas as a bookkeeper which she enjoyed greatly. When her health declined, she moved to Grove, OK with her sister where she remained for 20 years. In 1996, she moved back to Lamar, MO.
Survivors include a daughter, Christine Borjfeld and husband Steven of Alvin, TX; son Clifford White III and wife Anita of Odessa, TX; and grandchildren, Alexander and Christine. She is also survived by sisters, Trixie Voorhees of Lamar, MO, Claudine Hathcock of Branson, MO, and Pat Sorrels of Grove, OK; brother, Lee Roy Voorhees and wife Anna of Lamar, MO; and by many cousins and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday February 7, 2022 at 2 PM at Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
The funeral home will be open for visitors to sign the book from 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday February 6, 2022.
