Elaine Kay McAdams, of Lamar, MO passed away on Tuesday August 2, 2022 at Truman Healthcare after a battle with liver cancer. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
Elaine was born in Northwest Missouri to Eugene and Virginia Neuenschwander on May 31, 1952. Throughout her life she worked many different types of jobs and lived in many different states. One thing that never changed was her love of her children. She had many creative interests including writing, drawing, playing her guitar, making jewelry and growing flowers.
Elaine is survived by her ex-husband, Bob McAdams; daughter, Juli (Glenn) Tanner; son, Isaac (Megan) McAdams; grandchildren, Aurora and Dominick Tanner, and James and Abrianna McAdams and her brother, Edward Neuenschwander.
She is preceded in death by her long-time partner, Jack Stanley; mother and father, Virginia and Eugene Neuenschwander; step-father, Clifford Hoover; sisters, Linda Rose and Anna Marie Bowerman.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the individuals who have shown her kindness and compassion throughout the years. She will be forever loved and missed.
