Obituary of Eldora Schreckenghaust Eldora Schreckenghaust, 88, of Lamar, MO, passed away on Friday September 23, 2022. She was born on March 31, 1934, in Iantha, MO to Ernest John and Freda (Morgan) Percy. Eldora graduated from Liberal High School in 1953. After high school she married Roy McNaught. They lived in Oklahoma and had 4 sons. Roy was a traveling depot agent for the Frisco Railroad and Eldora was a homemaker. Later, Eldora and her 4 sons moved back to Liberal, MO where she attended and graduated from Pittsburg School of Cosmetology. She opened Cut and Curl Beauty Shop in Liberal, MO, operating her business for 45 years until she retired. Eldora married Roger Schreckenghaust on May 27, 1972, and they remained dedicated to each other until his death in 2014. Eldora was always a hard worker and kept busy in her retirement by babysitting in her home and working as a Walmart greeter. She was dedicated to and loved her family. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church of Liberal. Eldora is survived by her sons John McNaught of Bartlesville, OK, Steve (Becky) McNaught of Aurora, MO, Roy "Jeff" (Sue McDaniel) McNaught of Cincinnati, OH and Ray McNaught of Lamar, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mike (Erin) McNaught, Matt (Mirann) McNaught, Sunnie (Scott) Miller, Kala (Clayton) Brown, Brian McNaught, Colin McNaught, Sarah (Josh) McClintock, Derek McNaught and Cheyenne McNaught, 20 great grandchildren, and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 10 siblings, Ruth, Mary, Jack, Betty, Earnest, Eugene, Elwood, Colleen, Pete, and Bill. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Iantha Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Konantz Warden Funeral Home on Tuesday September 27, 2022. After the visitation we will travel in procession to Iantha Cemetery for a graveside service.
