Clarence Jefferson “CJ” Wynn, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday June 23, 2023. He was born on December 23, 1943 in Lamar, MO to Bert and Viola (Brown) Wynn. He is survived by his wife Esther Cunningham; daughters Andrea (Alan) Sykes and Jezzell Marez; and grandchildren Brittany Sykes, Clover Marez, and Josiah Rosa. He is also survived by his brother Clyde (Bonnie) Wynn and sister Mary Williams. CJ is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Alene Wynn (deceased 2021). CJ grew up on a farm in Lamar, MO and was the youngest of 13 siblings. He went to college at Midwestern Baptist Seminary. He married Alene and had a daughter, Andrea. Their marriage ended in 1975 and CJ moved to California in 1977 to open a store for Brunson Instrument Company (KCMO). Years later he decided to start his own business, Allsurv Instrument Company. He met Esther in 1981 and they started a printing business, ASI, in 1984. He became very successful, working with major companies such as BART and Google. He played an instrumental role in the building of Silicon Valley and developing San Jose, CA into the city it is today. CJ worked almost every day of his life up until December 2022, when his ALS had progressed to a point that he could no longer run his business. Although he worked most of his life, he did enjoy spending time fishing in Loreto, Mexico and being with his family and friends. CJ was loved and admired by his customers, the people at his favorite restaurant Omegas, and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. If you would like to make a memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, the family suggests the ALS Foundation. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on July 29, 2023, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, MO. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oakton, MO. A celebration of life luncheon will be provided following the funeral services. Please bring photos and memorabilia for everyone to see.
