Obituary of Wayne Seaton

Floyd “Wayne” Seaton passed away on Saturday September 30, 2023. He was born in Webb City, MO on July 2, 1956 to Charles and Fern Seaton. Wayne enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to cruise around town and in the countryside looking for deer. He also enjoyed sewing, making arrow heads and flint knapping. Wayne loved attending black powder shows and rendezvous with family and friends. He was also a boy scout leader alongside Dr. Joustra. His hobbies include motorcycle riding, working on vehicles, and bowling. He was a member of the Eagle's Lodge. Wayne drove a truck for JB hunt and drove a farming truck in South Pittsburg, KS. He worked at Judy's Truck Stop and worked for Thorco for over 22 years. As a side job, he worked with the Shavers Machine Shop. Wayne loved his family and friends tremendously. We will all miss hearing his stories, adventures, and his knowledge of the outdoors. May Wayne now rest in peace. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Harvey Brown; sister Vickie Clark; brother Dean Brown; and grandson Garth Seaton. He is also preceded by his lifelong friends, Joe Barger, Gerald Shaver Wayne is survived by his children Kevin Dotson, James and Carrie Seaton, Charles Seaton and Tamara Slaight all of Lamar, MO; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren with 4 more on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Verna (Robert) Pennell of Lamar, MO, Veronica Tucker (David) of Hixson, TN, and Charles E Seaton Jr of Oklahoma; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation and celebration of his life will be held at Konantz Warden Funeral Home on Friday October 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM followed by graveside interment at Oak Grove Cemetery immediately following.
