Mary Maxine Holder, 68, of Liberal, Missouri, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a lengthy illness. Maxine was born January 29, 1943 to Frank and Mayme (Webb) Wolf in Liberal, Missouri. She was a graduate of Liberal High School. Maxine had resided in Liberal, Missouri most of her entire life. She had attended Draughn's Business College for two years. She married Roy Holder on October 18, 1964 in Lamar, Missouri. They were married 46 years. Prior to marriage, Maxine worked ten years for Finley Engineering in Lamar, Missouri. In the later years she worked in the Medical Clinic of Arma, Kansas, where she retired. Survivors include husband Roy Holder of the home; sons Terry Holder of Lamar, Missouri, Troy and Krystal Holder of Girard, Kansas, and Jim Holder of Nashville, Tennessee; a brother, Don and Gracie Wolf of Liberal, Missouri; and Grandsons Daryn and William Holder. She was preceded in death by her son Jerry Dee Holder, and her parents Frank and Mayme Wolf. She was a long-time member of the Verdella Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord. She loved deeply her husband and especially her children and grandchildren. She loved nature and especially butterflies of which she had many. She loved her many loyal friends.
